Team 3 - Day 5

Another interesting day to as..
We head off to Korea University of the Arts in the morning.

At first look, it looked like a bomb shelter,
Maybe it was because of the large plain grey walls.

The most interesting event there was the 15minute video.
It managed to pull out viewer's emotions so effectively,
Which I feel is not really that simple.

The most interesting thing we did today was..
EATING GINSENG CHICKEN!

Though our tables became messy even before we could finish our meals,
I think that it is really worth the mess.

Kudos to GINSENG CHICKEN! :)

Team 4 - Day 5

Our first stop was to the Korea University of the Arts and I was pretty amazed by how huge the campus was. And even though the interior looked pretty run down and old, the facilities that they had for the filming students were really nice.

The next stop was the Seoul Animation Centre. The place was pretty small but we got to see a little process of how the animations were drawn from scratch and also how they made them form into cartoons of what we watch on television.

Then, we went to the Folks Village which we didn't get to go on our first day in Korea. And we actually got to see the houses that the people in the past used to stay in. It was really old but yet interesting. And we also got to learn some of the things we didn't know about staying in the olden houses in the past.

Team 1 Day 5

We went to a university named K.ARTS. We went to see how their university looks like as compared to Singapore. We saw many studio sets and rooms where editing takes place and they also showed us a broadcasting room.

We also went to the animation centre and saw many interesting stuff like the toilet for kids where they can pee at the insects flying in the screen right in front of the urinal. It was a new experience for us as there isn't such thing in Singapore. Then we went back to the place where we visited in Day 2 due to the bad weather. We explored the ancient artifacts about Korea's history like the treadmill and how the Koreans in the past lived.

We then visited Nansam tower and we took many beautiful pictures of the sceneries up there. There are many keypad locks from lovers.

For dinner , we had ginseng chicken and ginseng wine. Junwei even for drunk just after 3 mini cups of it. With that, we ended the fun day.

Team 1 Day 4

Today we went to the NURITKUM and explored the technologies. There is a glass-free 3D tv, automated coffee table which you can take your order and there are also other tech like the Augmented Reality car racing game. It was an awesome overall experience.

After that we went to another place where we learnt about the latest and future technologies of Korea. There are many things that are new to us like digital painting and the tv which can monitor your health. We learnt many new things and it is helpful to us for our school work.

Team 1 Day 3

Today we went to KOSCOM to visit how they changed over the years and how they are established. We learned about how security in Korea works. They taught us about how the company operates and what types of business opportunity.

We also went to KOBA to visit the types of audio and video equipments which are all high-end and used by professionals in film-making. Many well-known brands like Sennheiser, Sony and Beyer Dynamic were present in the booth.

Team 4 Diary; D-4

Started off today's schedule with the technical visit to Digital Pavillion where we get to see advanced technologies created for human beings and the future. Those creations surprised everyone and it's no joke that no one wouldn't want to have a touch on these asap.

We then get out of the place and set off to another technical visit to ETRI which took us quite long time to arrive from our location. It was tiring but it was worth. the technologies are as amazing as the previous ones. It was a really, really good opportunity for us to experience such things.

After the visitings, we then checked in at Seoul Stars Hotel before heading off to Dongdaemun for more shopping :> It was more of a mall district compared to Myeongdong and Ehwa Womans University. There were malls that sold pretty cheap and affordable clothing. And when we went back to the hotel, we took the subway for the first time!!! It was a really great experience since we haven't took a train in another country before.

Day 2 of the South Korea study trip.

It was spent brilliantly as we visited the unique outdoor studios, Namyangju. We had a chance to venture the area as we learn more about how and what it was built for.

We also visited the Science Museum where we got to see Science first hand. It was a fruitful trip, definitely.
