Memorable Moments in Korea - Syahidah

To be honest, every single second in this Korea trip was memorable. From the starting till the end, I just cant get enough of them. I wish I could have a time machine and repeat those awesome 7 days again. I didn't expect this trip to be so FUN! I was glad that I made some pretty crazy good friends during the trip.

The visit to the Folk Village and Korean Cultural and Historical Tour was good, I manage to learn about Korean culture more. On the first day, I was given the chance to "draw" my name in Korean Characters. During the historical tour, I learnt about the different men in the Korean won and about the different presidents.

The visit to the different universities such as Hanyang University and Korea National University of Arts was actually a great opportunity for us to know more about what Korea students are learning and what they are learning differ from what we, Singaporean students are learning. I had a good time exploring the different tools the students are using for learning.

The visit to Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), which I thought will be boring was actually pretty interesting. I was really amazed by all of the advanced technology the have created in Korea. In fact, some of them are more advanced than in Singapore. One thing that really grabbed my attention and till now, I still remember was the telephone. Usually when someone answer a phone call, they put it on their ear, however, the telephone in ETRI, you have to put it on your head instead in order for you to listen to the incoming call. I had lots of fun messing around with that specific phone.

The visit to KOSCOM actually help me to understand better about how the business management works in the company in Korea such as KOSCOM. The slides and information they showed us about the business process and their products was really detailed and specific.

The visit to Munhwa Broadcasting Centre (MBC) was great. I am thankful that we were able to go inside the building itself and explore. This is a really rare opportunity. We were shown around the studio whereby they do filming of morning news and tv shows. Also, we managed to see the radio station studio and yes, while walking around, we did witness some radio shows whereby there was some guest artiste and the DJ itself.

Not to forget, the place I enjoyed most was at SEOUL TOWER! It was such a beautiful place. Despite having to climb the never ending hill, it was still good :)

OVERALL, I HAD A REALLY GOOD TIME IN KOREA!
THIS IS MY FIRST OVERSEAS TRIP AND IT WAS AMAZING!
THANK YOU ADVISORS AND FRIENDS FOR THE WONDERFUL TIME IN KOREA :)
